Joe Tuchinsky, later an activist himself, was editor of the Champaign-Urbana Spectator when he published my article describing the Ethan Allen civil disobedience demonstration. Seen in cover photo below are Janice McKinley, Beverly Sterner, Ed Sanders, David Mitchell, Jackie McKracken, Gene Keyes, and Paul Berner.

After my first tour of duty at Polaris Action, I had returned to my family home in Champaign-Urbana, IL, where I helped arrange local demonstrations by the Quakers, Student Peace Union, etc. Early in 1962, I co-organized the Chicago to Washington Peace March, with Dennis Weeks.
